Post Running flash on power pv Mac
I'm noticing I can't play Adobe flash-based videos on Facebook and on other sites. It tells me I need to install an update and when I do, I gt a message how Adobe's no longer compatible with Mac systems that are pc power based. Well ain't that bitch :x lol Anyone know a way around this?

I haven't been using my iBook much, but would like to 'specially now that it's summer break for the kids and my nieces and nephew be hogging all my stuff (iPhone, iPad and pc laptop lol) and I need something to go online with.

Post Re: Running flash on power pc Mac
My parents are using my old PPC Power Mac tower Pro Tools rig (without the Pro Tools cards inside, of course). I've noticed that videos are a bit slow on YouTube, but they still play with the old PPC version of Flash. I guess they haven't run into any Facebook videos. I would have heard about it by now.

If Facebook were smart, they'd serve raw HTML5 video (H.264 or whatever) to iPhone, iPad and old PowerPC clients. It plays much better. But there are many, many sentences that begin with "If Facebook were smart."

Lol big "IF"

I think I may have run into a couple other sites I had problems with as well... Hoping to upgrade to a mini soon to free up some desk space. Was planning on giving my old iBook to one of the kids but if it no longer works with flash, then pretty useless for them. Kinda sucks monkey balls for those MAC users who got the short end of the stick.

I don't know how old your iBook is, but I'm talking about a 12-year-old machine in my case. That's pretty darn good.
